Turn on Depth Effect

The clock slips behind the picture, so it looks like it sits in front of the time. It takes about a minute.

1. Save the picture. Tap Download, or press and hold the picture, then choose Add to Photos.
2. Open Photos and tap the picture. Tap the Share button, then Use as Wallpaper.
3. Choose Lock Screen. Drag the picture with one finger, or pinch it, until a branch or petal crosses the clock.
4. Tap the ⋯ button at the bottom right and make sure Depth Effect has a tick.
5. Tap Add, then Set as Wallpaper Pair.

If Depth Effect is greyed out, your iPhone did not find a clear subject in front of the clock. Move the picture a little and check again. Widgets under the clock can also switch it off. It needs iOS 16 or newer.
